TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines — One of two Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) workers buried in a landslide while monitoring road conditions in San Juan, Santa Praxedes, Cagayan on Friday morning, Nov. 28, died in the hospital. Both workers were unearthed from the rubble and immediately rushed to the nearest hospital, although one of them had no pulse upon retrieval. The fatality was identified as Enrico Gantan, 46, a contractual DPWH worker and resident of Barangay Capacuan. He was declared dead at the hospital.
