18 injured in Catbalogan City bus crash

TACLOBAN CITY — Eighteen persons were injured after a passenger bus reportedly suffered brake failure and plowed into several vehicles and roadside establishments in Catbalogan City Saturday morning, according to the local police. The Catbalogan City police reported thatthe bus was traveling from Guiuan to downtown Catbalogan when the driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle after its braking system malfunctioned in Barangay Guindapunan at around 10:30 a.m. Police identified the driver onlyas alias “Luz,” 48, a resident of Catbalogan City.
