Embattled British Prime Minister Keir Starmer on Monday vowed to prove his "doubters" wrong in a major speech aimed at quelling a mounting rebellion within his party after Labour suffered the worst local election results for a governing party in more than three decades last week. In a bid to restore "hope" to the country, Starmer pledged to put "Britain at the heart of Europe".
