MANILA, Philippines – Consumers in Iloilo, Bohol and Negros provinces saw the lowest electricity rates in the Visayas this May, as their distribution utilities tapped cheaper power supply deals. Razon-led Primelectric Holdings Inc. underscored the need to secure the least-cost power sourcing due to the current global fuel woes triggered by the Middle East war. Even with upward price pressures recorded in the past months, Primelectric said all three of its distribution utilities in the region were still able to cut power rates.
