MANILA, Philippines – Metro Manila is forecast to experience a dangerous heat index of 43 to 44°C on Sunday, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) reported. Heat index levels of 42°C to 51°C fall under the “danger” category, where risks of heat cramps, heat exhaustion and worse, heat stroke, may be experienced. The highest projected heat index in the country on Sunday is 46°C in Dagupan City, Pangasinan; San Ildefonso, Bulacan; Sangley Point, Cavite; and San Jose, Occidental Mindoro.
