MANILA, Philippines — Metro Manila and 48 other areas are forecast to experience danger-level heat index on Wednesday, May 27, the state weather bureau said. This Eid’l Adha holiday, several areas may record a peak heat index of 46°C, which falls under the danger category (42°C to 51°C). In Metro Manila, Pasay City may experience a heat index of up to 44°C while Quezon City may record 43°C, which means heat cramps and heat exhaustion are likely, while heat stroke is possible with prolonged exposure.
