MANILA, Philippines — Ten areas were forecast to experience a dangerous heat index on Thursday, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa). A dangerous heat index is between 42°C and 51°C, which may cause heat cramps, heat exhaustion and heat stroke. In its latest heat index bulletin, Pagasa said the highest heat index expected on Thursday will be at 49°C in Infanta, Quezon.
