LUCENA CITY — Parts of the Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal Quezon) region continued to experience dangerous indices over the weekend, with Cavite City hitting 48°C heat index on Saturday, despite forecasts that the rainy season may begin soon. Data from the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) showed that Sangley Point in Cavite City registered a 48°C heat index, surpassing the earlier forecast of 44°C.
