COTABATO CITY – Presidential Peace Adviser Carlito Galvez Jr. and Bangsamoro interim Chief Minister Abdulraof Macacua have joined the voices of condemnation against the hostilities in Matalam town, Cotabato province that left seven people killed and led to the displacement of civilians. In separate statements, the two officials called for an impartial and speedy investigation. “We are deeply saddened by this senseless loss of life,” Galvez said in a statement. “No dispute, regardless of its history or complexity, justifies the taking of human lives,” Galvez pointed out, even as he expressed sympathies and condolences to the families of seven fatalities.
