MANILA, Philippines — At least 48 areas across the country are forecast to experience danger level heat indices on Tuesday, May 26, the state weather bureau said. The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) calls the heat index the “feels like” temperature, combining humidity with the actual air temperature. Pagasa said some areas may record heat indices reaching up to 46°C, which falls under the danger category (42 to 51°C).
