MANDAUE CITY, Cebu — Local authorities confiscated three lechons weighing a total of 87 kilos on Sunday morning, May 10, for lacking the required permits. The lechons, which were being sold by sidewalk vendors in Barangays Apas and Lahug in Cebu City, did not have meat inspection certificates or registration and licensing permits. This violates City Ordinance No. 2189, which prohibits the sale or transport of illegally slaughtered meat.
