MANILA, Philippines โ Aftershocks were expected after a magnitude 5.6 earthquake hit off the waters of a Quezon town on Wednesday evening, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said. In its earthquake bulletin, Phivolcs said the epicenter was located 93 kilometers east of Jomalig, Quezon at 10:11 p.m. It was tectonic in origin and had a depth of 10 kilometers.
