Marcos, First Lady to receive imperial honors during Japan state visit

MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. and First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos will receive high-level imperial honors from Emperor Naruhito during their state visit to Japan. In a statement before leaving for Japan on Tuesday, Marcos said they would be received by Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako in a formal audience, where both sides will exchange some of their countries’ highest civilian decorations.
