Miss Eco International strips Vietnam delegate of continental title amid complaints

The Miss Eco International organization has stripped Vietnam’s Nguyen Thi Thu Truc of her “Miss Eco Asia” title that she received during the pageant’s coronation show in Alexandria, Egypt, on May 22 (23 in Manila). “This decision follows repeated and documented attempts by the Vietnam National Director to influence the competition through bribery–cash offers, made in writing in exchange for preferential treatment and a guaranteed Top 10 placement,” the organization claimed, adding that it had rejected all those attempts.
