Mountain Province exceeds 10-percent energy savings target

BAGUIO CITY, Philippines — The Mountain Province provincial government exceeded the national government’s 10-percent energy reduction target after cutting its electricity consumption by 11.05 percent in March and 34.56 percent in April this year. Energy Conservation Officer-Designate Gary Pekas reported on Monday that electricity use dropped by 4,443 kilowatt-hours (kWh) in March 2026 compared with the same month in 2025.
