PAGADIAN CITY, Zamboanga del Sur — The Philippine Navyโs Western Mindanao Naval Command (WMNC) and Naval Task Force 61 have foiled back-to-back smuggling attempts in Basilan and Sulu, confiscating over P113 million worth of undocumented foreign cigarettes in two days of intensified maritime patrols. On May 23, naval forces intercepted FB Sea Dragon and MPB Sea Horse off Tongquil Island, Sulu, uncovering 282 master cases of illicit cigarettes valued at P42.7 million.
