MANILA, Philippines – The Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) has suspended the collection of the Green Energy Auction Allowance (GEA-All) for the May and June power billing periods to reduce electricity charges. In a statement on Friday, the commission said it halted collection of the GEA-All rate of 37 centavos per kilowatt hour (kWh for all power consumers. The GEA-All charge is meant to finance renewable energy projects, such as solar, wind and hydro across the Philippines.
