Iran and the United States reached an impasse again Monday over how to end their war while their ceasefire grew increasingly shaky. As the situation in the Middle East keeps the world on edge, many regional observers say Iranโs resilience is thanks in part to the lifeline extended by two key allies: Russia and China. Both countries, at least publicly, say they seek de-escalation. But Western observers say they are providing crucial support to Teheran to help keep it in the fight.
