`Shabu' hidden in tennis balls recovered in Occidental Mindoro

CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro — Authorities on Sunday recovered suspected “shabu” (crystal meth) concealed inside tennis balls in Sablayan, Occidental Mindoro, after residents reported that children had allegedly been playing with suspicious objects in the area, police said in a statement on Monday. The Police Regional Office (PRO) Mimaropa said personnel of the Sablayan Municipal Police Station responded to a concerned resident of Barangay Batong Buhay who reported about suspicious tennis balls resembling items recovered in a previous incident in the municipality.
