LAPU-LAPU CITY, Cebu — A tropical storm (TS) with the name “Hagupit” may enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) on Saturday evening, May 9, the state weather bureau said. As of 11 a.m. on Saturday, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) located the weather system 1,065 kilometers east of Northeastern Mindanao. It packed maximum sustained winds of 65 kilometers per hour near the center, with gustiness of up to 80 km/h.
