MANDAUE CITY, Cebu — The recent disasters in Cebu have underscored the urgent need for stronger and more coordinated corporate social responsibility (CSR) efforts, highlighting the importance of unified action among businesses, government, and civil society. The League of Corporate Foundations (LCF), together with Cebu business leaders, noted how the 6.9-magnitude earthquake on September 30 and the devastation brought by Typhoon Tino on November 4 emphasized the need for companies to strengthen community support and resilience.
